Symposium Report Error

Does anyone know what an error 45320 is? Scheduled reports stopped working and we can't seem to find information on this type of error.

Client 192.168.1.1, Report ID 202 returned Client/Server communication failure ( error code=45320 ).

We have double-checked connectivity between the client and the server with ping so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I ran into this on a recent SCCS 5.0 install. The error means that the report engine can't find the Symposium Server. There are a couple of things you can try, first create a host entry for the Symposium server on your client PC's host table. You may also need to create an entry for your client on the SCCS server's host table.

You should also make sure all of the ports and other security settings on your network between the client and the SCCS server match the requirements that are in the Symposium Security Guidelines manual. I also had a problem related to this that was caused by Veritas Backup client using port 10000 and the Symposium uses port 10000 as well.

You can also check the binding order of the NIC cards in the SCCS server. The CLAN card should be first.
