Hi I have a 2 sites which are connected via Tie trunk Site A and Site B. I have setup a CDN at Site A and created the proper network script and have made the necessary changes to the NCC. If I call the CDN locally from site A, my call gets answered by the agent at Site B which proves that everything works.

The proble is that If i make the same call through the automated attendant and dial the CDN, the call just sticks at Site A and never goes to B? I am using Meridian Mail, any ideas? I check the TGAR / TARG and there is no TARG on the route..

Any help would be great

THX

You never directly use the Network CDN. The Servers in conjunction with the switch use the network CDN to carry the voice portion of a call that terminates at one site, but is answered at a second site. In other words, Call arrives a the regular CDN at site A. The script takes control of the call. When the QUEUE TO NETWORK SKILLSET command is executed, the servers communicate and find the best agent to handle the call. The servers coordinate with the switches to open a voice path between site A and site B using the network CDN via your tie trunks.

Network configuration is involved. It is best to start at the beginning. You need to set up Network ACD (NACD) at the switch level. Test and verify it works. Make sure your Network Control Server (NCC) is configured correctly and both sites are properly synchronized.

Set up one Network CDN at each site. Establish the network skillsets on the NCC. Set up the site routing table on the NCC. Configure the network skillset Local Node capability on the site servers. Configure the Network parameters (dialable Network CDN) at each site.

Update your primary scripts to use the QUEUE TO NETWORK SKILLSET command. Update the network script for backup call handling in case the agent is not available after a voice path has been opened to the far end site. Test.

There is a lot more detail - see the Network Administration Guide.
