I have just built 4 new PCs. They are HP Compaq DF530 SFF with P4 2.4 Ghz, running Windows 2000 professional SP4. Symposium runs OK but when I try to run up GRTD it just hangs after the login screen. Checking eventviewer shows a service, autoprog, using 99% of cpu time. I have installed the NSO40107G002C and NSO40107SU10C patches but to no avail.

Cheers

Check permissions on folders first (se end of our installation guide)....

This is how we get around it. The software needs to be installed in this order (we were told always install Symposium first).
If you install GRTD and it asks for an ip address (usually shows. 111.111.111.111), It isn't going to work. Uninstall GRTD and Symposium, then hack the registry of all GRTD & Symposium entries (if it's an image sometimes it's quicker to rebuild).

Install GRTD
Reboot
Log into GRTD and check it's working.
Install Newer version of Sybase (not one supplied on CD.
Reboot
Install Symposium
Reboot
Install first Patch Ns...02
Reboot
Install Second Patch NS...10
Reboot
Go to C:\Program Files\NortelChange permisions on GRTD folder to "Everyone" so that has modify access.
Log out and log in as user.
Check that both GRTD and Symposium still work.
