Can anyone tell me if the thick client for Symposium Express uses unicast or multicast to talk back to the server..??

We have a full SCCS System and needed to go to the Symposium Web Server due to the thick client using multicast.

I am trying to get my vendor to answer me, but they give me all of the answers I don't need.

Thanks in advance.

SECC client uses unicast. As a matter of fact, it can't be configured to use multicast. There cannot be a firewall between the thick client and the SECC, as the ports are dynamically assigned RPC and could potentially use any port between 1024-65554.
