I am running Symposium Express Call Centre Release 2 on an NT Server

I am looking at configuring my hard disks for RAID 5.

Does anyone know if this compatible with Nortel software.

The NT server is also on NT Service Pack 5

Any known issues on updating to service pack 6a ?

For all these reqs should I be looking at upgrading to Release 3

Any help appreciated

Thanks

As Symposium has nothing to do with how you configure your hard disks, you can (re)install the system into a RAID 5 configuration. The system should run fine on SP6a. Be sure that you keep enough hard disk space for you data....

I wouldn’t be so sure about this. Few weeks ago we did install symposium 4.2 and on Nortel specs it says that service pack 2 or higher can be used on win2k so we did install grandest and the latest service pack 3, boy was that bad idea we had Nortel it self from development team looking at this problem for two days and scratching their heads.

Solution for that was reinstalling operating software on server with service pack 2 and every thing did work like a champ.

I have a Symposium 4.2 running with W2K & SP3, no problem....(but I must say that we had the system first installed with SP2 and then upgraded to SP3)

But I think he was referring to version 4.0, which runs under NT4 with SP6a. I have not yet found any issues with this configuration.
