Our SECC went into Emergency Mode this morning.I'm trying to figure our who did it. I found an event that says:
Event Code 46112
Severity Information
User(M SUPERVISOR) caused TaskFlow Variable EMERGENCY to be modified.

I think this indicates the user that changed it. But several computers have this same user logged in.

Is this the correct Event? Why would activation of Emergency mode be only an Information severity? We got the same event when the sysadmin user restored it. One of the users said she tried to restore it. So I'm not sure if this record is her trying to restore it or her actually taking it down. I can find no other events that seem to have anything else to do with emergency.

Found more information.
This user logged into the Client at 6:56:35 and the Emergency mode was activated at 6:56:41.

It seems like it started all on its own. This PC she logged into is only used for real time displays. The weird thing is now I try to manually activate it and it wont even give me the confirmation box on that user.

I checked Access Classes in the morning and that users class " Senior Supervisor" had Create/Delete but I checked now and it only has view. What could cause the level of access to change? I don't even get the option to change the level of access with the sysadmin user logged into the Symposium server.

make sure your server AND CLIENTS are patched with the latest patches. The problem you're describing is fixed by a patch, if AND only if, it went into emergency mode by itself and not by someone trying to cover their behind becuase they screwed up.

I checked and the Client SU on that machine was at least 1 behind the other computers. We will see if that make a difference.

My system went into emergency state again this morning when someone logged in. This machine looks like it is up to date with the others.

We are calling in the vendor to check it again and see if any thing else has a problem.

I saw something similar once. The user had accidentally clicked on the little stoplight on the screen that comes up when you login to the client.

In this case the user cannot manually activate it. I have gone to that computer and tried to activate it and the Yes/No box does not even appear.

This problem only happens at the beginning of day shift, when they first boot up a certain PC and log into symposium. The logs show that user activated the Emergency State just seconds after the user logged in.

Our vendor has had me uninstall and reinstall the app on that PC. I'm not sure if that will fix the problem as we are still on the same client version and SU.

We are currently on Client Version 04.02.06 with software update NS040206SU08C.
