Hi, I keep getting this alert in the application log. Anyone knows what this is???

The description for Event ID (41450) in source (NGEN) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information
or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The
following information is a part of the event. The event log file is corrupt..

I forgott to say that this problem is in a Symposium Link 4.2...

Not sure if this helps much more but it seems to have a bit more information then what you posted.

Severity Major

Description The Win32 Registry API specified failed.

Impact -- Unable to access the SOFTWARE\Nortel portion of the local machine registry. Unable to get database user information, so services will not be able to connect to the database.

Recovery Action -- Verify that the Nortel portion of the registry has not been corrupted. If it is restore from backup. Verify that permission to the SOFTWARE\Nortel portion of the local machine registry is correct.
