Hi All!

I have a customer who is firing up the Symposium on an option 11C they purchased with the building (the PBX/Call Pilot/Symposium all worked for the previous owner). They uninstalled the Symposium from the server (they wanted to clear the database), and they reinstalled the software on a NEW server....then they called me. It seems they cant get into the Symposium. They have the keycode and PBX serial number. I don't know enough about Symposium....do they need a dongle? If so, where would it be found on the old server? Do they need more than the one keycode?

Thanks for all help!

No dongle needed. Is he using the default passwords. Since he reinstalled it will use the defaults. Sounds to me like an incorrect configuration of the OS. That can cause all kinds of havoc. You MUST follow the books exactly.

What does "they can't get into symposium" really mean?

THey can't log into the server?

They can't log into a client?

Is the server up and running?

Can you see it on the ELAN?

Installing SCCS is not hard, but you do need to follow the documentation. If you don't, wipe it clean and start over!
