Can anyone help me with the setup of a readerboard on an elan connection to Symposium?

I assume you have a server that drives the readerboard, right? This should be on the C-LAN! Nothing on the E-LAN but Nortel devices (switch, Symposium, Call Pilot,...)

You will need to create a Desktop user ID on Symposium. The user will need to have access rights to real time data.

Thanks for the reply Miles,

I have Symposium server and desktop client is this what you are talking about when you say server or is there another piece that I missed. How do I go about getting the info from the server to the c-lan?

11phoneman11, first of all -- are you using older Symposium, or do you have CCMS? What application will you be using for the readerboard (Symon, etc.)? The vendor for that readerboard application will ask you for a desktop login ID (sometimes they ask for sysadmin, but I always create one just for them). You will configure that in Server Utility.

Otherwise, the CCMA can provide a desktop version of a readerboard (ADD - Agent Desktop Display). Some centers use a pc/large flat screen type of set up to display a readerboard-type.
