At present, our SCC Servers are configured with partitions C (primary) and D (extended) only on Disk 0.

The Disk size is 18.2G. Both C and D are 4G each, leaving 10.2G of unused disk space.

I want to add an additional extended partition (X) to Disk 0.

I reviewed the Installation and maintenance Guide for SCCS 4.2 - January 2003 and have not found where it says not to.

Does anyone know if there's a problem with doing this? Will the Symposium start going into convulsions if I do so?

Thanks

Ken Mathieu

Why do you want to add another partition? And no, it wouldn't be the best thing to do. You would have been better off if C and D were each 9 Gb. C and D do not have to be 4 Gb with 4.2. Your database partitions (F-any later numbers) do have to be a certain size (in 1 Gb/1024 Kb increments) and equal to each other.
