Hi all,
I recently started a career with EMC products and SAN and I'm using DMX 3 and DMX 2 at work.
My question is a very basic one :
I know I can view available Symmetrix devices using the command below :
Command: symdev -sid xxx list -noport //provide list of available devices
which are not mapped with any FA,xxx is symmetrix sid
But I am wondering, incase available devices in the frame is exhausted/all used up, and there are still storage in the frame, how do I carve the storage up into available devices? Can someone brief me the steps to do this, preferably using symcli commands? I would truly appreciate it.
Thanks
Suze
