Symmetrix:
=========

1.How to know what all the software installed on symmetrix.
2.Can we partition single symmetrix into SRDF and normal symmetrix where real data is getting stored
3.Like storage group in clarion, Is there is anything similar in Symmetrix.
4.Is there is any similar concept of raidgroup. If it is then all the logical unit should be part of the raidgroup or not?
5.Always raidgroup will be present in the symmetrix.
6.Device Group Name is equivalent to RaidGroup(i.e clarion) in symmetrix.
7.If Device Group Name property value is Not/Grouped, then what it means? . You can get it by executing sympd list –v.
8.Can we create LUN without creating Raidgroup or disk group in symmetrix.
9.Is there is any property which says symmetrix is configured as Raid 5(STD) , BCV,SRDF or 2 way mirror using symcfg –list –v command.

Clariion:
=======

1.How to find raw free space [note: Total capacity of Physical Device – allocated capacity (allocated for luns + extra space occupied if you create Raid 1)]
2.Is there is any command in clariion which will give total, free, allocated space for the whole storage array.
