I use Fedora 2 and Plesk 7.5.

I am trying to make a symlink from one users dir "test" located in his httpdocs, to another users httpdocs. I works fine, via http, to access the directory (real and symlink) from both users domains.

But when i try to access the directory via FTP it only grants access for dir "test" for the user that has the "real/physical" dir, but error when accesing the dir via symlink.

I guess it some kind of permission problem, but what to do to make it work?

Most FTP servers do not allow following of symbolic links in a chrooted environment. I assume that this is because of possible security problems. The traditional way around this is to create a loopback mount point at the appropriate location.

I am not so good at linux... What does a loopback mount point meen?
