I have a question about symbols. I have illustrated several objects and would like to put all of these objects in a symbol palette. However, I cannot find a way to do this. Does anyone know how to do this? I would really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Just drag and drop them right into the symbol palette.

At the moment when i drag a symbol to the palette then close the window from which the symbol came from, the new symbol also disappears, and I can't use it again.
How do you make the symbols stay in the palette so that they are available all the time, even after I have closed/opend Illustrator?

Find your startup_cmyk.ai and your startup_rgb.ai files.

Open them, drop the symbol into the symbols palette in both of them, save them and close them.

The Symbol will now appear in the symbols palette of any NEW cmyk or rgb document.
