symbols on reports

I currently have a report that shows a box colored red, green or yellow for status, ie green=on track, red=overdue, yellow=deadline nearing. Rather than show the box as a color, can I use a symbol, like a triangle for RED or Square for Green, Circle for Yellow?

Anyone know of a way to use a symbol based on the color?
