I'm trying to get my Symantec Appliance to accept both POP3 (110) and HTTP (80) port requests and then redirect them onto my internal servers. i have already created a virtual server for SMTP and this works OK for my ISP mail forwarder but alas not for sending mail from Outlook client (either express or 2000). For HTTP and POP3 it just times out, although I think can telnet to the server on both of those ports! Bizarre, no?
Can anyone help??
Many thanks in advance.
PS: If your thinking of getting one of these boxes and you like support THEN DON'T!!!
They won't even take a call or email from you unless you've bought a support pack and if you do call you'll only get through to their pay per call system. I'd barely got mine out of the box and needed additional help in setting up and they wouldn't even entertain me - Microsoft eat yer heart out!
