hi all!
I read about moving clients from one parent server to another but I have a question is there a chance in Symantec System Center Console ver. 6.0 to move client from one server to another using drag & drop method ?
will it be ok?

thanks

As far I as know, the answer is know. You have to copy the grc.dat file from the parent server's vphome share to the workstations documents and settings\all users\application data\symantec\norton antivirus corporate edition\7.5 directory. I normally stop the antivirus service on the workstation, copy the grc.dat file then start the service. The workstations antivirus service will read the grc.dat file an point the client to the new parent server and delete the grc.dat from the 7.5 directory.

hi ...
well in console 6.0 there is a possibility to move clients normally using drag & drop method (in older version there was no way to move client using mouse)
today i checked on almost 100 computers and it easily move client to other server ... any request needed that client MUST be online
there was work for one day - done in 5 minutes :p

That sounds great. I checked and I am using SSC ver 5.0. Where did you get 6.0?

SSC 6.0 comes with the Symantec AV 9 cd (in the SSC folder)
