Can someone please help? I am running Symantec System Center 10.0.1.1000. When I make changes to a specific computer (i.e. right click the computer / All Tasks / Symantec AntiVirus / Client Autoprotect Options and click to check off "Exclude Selected Files and folders", I can click OK and get out of the System Center. If I immediately go back in and check on it, it is OK. Later on in the day, I will go back in to check the computer and "Exclude Selected Files and Folders" is no longer checked off.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You cant set this on a machine by machine basis. You must set this at the group level and affects every system in the group. It sucks, I know, sorry.

if you are running 10.0.1.1000 upgrade it asap to the latest version of Symantec 10.1.6.6010. We recently got hit with rinbot which attacks security issues in this version of Symantec.

By the way the Symantec console is the most useless unrelaible piece of shite ever created. Do not trust any information that comes out of it. We have over 10,000 units in SSC (although this figure keeps going down as the console manages to loose clients all the time). It advises that machines are out of date when they are not. Total crap.
