Symantec SMTP Gateway 3.1

Hi,
I want to install Symantec SMTP Gateway 3.1 on my exchange server 2000.
Incomming mails will be received by Symantec SMTP Gateway 3.1 and will be routed to Exchange server 2000.
since Symantec SMTP Gateway 3.1 uses port 25 there will be port clash.i need to change the port on exchange server 2000. is it required for my clients machines to change the port.my client uses outlook.let me know how to go about changing the port in exchange 2000 and my clients
