Symantec keeps asking me to insert a disk into my CD-ROM

I am working on setting up a Symantec Antivirus Server at my work place. I currently have Symantec System Center and Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition, version 10.1.x installed on a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server. I have the console all set up and have started migrating clients to the new version.

The other day I was doing something with the operating system and I had to insert the operating system CD into the CD-ROM drive to copy some files. When I was finished, closed the application and removed the CD. Now all of a sudden this popup box appears on my screen that says Rtvscan.exe needs me to insert the disk back in Drive D:\, which is my CD-ROM drive. Everytime I click Cancel, it just keeps popping up. I finally get it to go away just for it to pop right back up.

So I figured I would just find an old CD-ROM disc and put it in the drive and leave it there, because I thought that I had it set to scan all drives and since there was not a disk in the CD-ROM drive, that was why I was getting the pop-up. But when I tried to put any old disk in the drive, it choked and said that it needs the OS disc.

I don't know how to make this go away. Can anyone tell me why this may be happening and how to fix it so that Rtvscan.exe is not constantly wanting me to put the CD in the drive?

Thanks in advance B-)

FYI...if this may be happening to anyone else or if anyone cares. I figured out my problem. I had my CD-ROM set as the first device in the Boot Sequence. Since I had used an Operating System CD in the drive at one time (and it is a bootable disk), RTVSCAN.exe kept wanting to go there first.

Once I changed the Boot Sequence and put my hard drive as the first device, the message is gone.

Hope this info helps someone else
