Symantec Ghost build porting to another?

Sorry if the subject isn't very descriptive guys, couldn't think of how else to word it.

I don't actually have an issue, more curiousity.

Is it possible to port one build to another using ghost?

e.g. I have an XP Build for a Dell (Optiplex 270 for example), and have an IBM (no namer) that is to be used for the same purpose. Is it possible to somehow modify the build after it's put on the system (i.e. the NIC drivers - the priority) without editing the .GHO file?
