I have a boot CD that boots and installs network drivers for a fixed IP address/gateway/dns etc. Once the disk boots I can do IPconfig and the settings are correct. When I launch ghost.exe though ghost is somehow grabbing a dhcp address. I have to do my ghosting through that dhcp address and not the fixed address I booted up on. Once I exit from ghost the machine is still configured with the original fixed IP address. Can anybody explain to me how ghost.exe is overriding the boot settings?

thanks for any suggestions...

I finally figured out the problem. When you create your boot disk, a wattcp.cfg file is created on your boot disk. BUT you MUST copy that wattcp.cfg from its location with the boot files to the same physical location where the ghost.exe file resides when you burn your disk.

works fine after that..
