Hello
We have symantec ghost 11 installed and running on a VM. I have managed to setup an inventory report to get the hardware config for each machine, it was fairly straight-forward.
Software reports however, are proving to be a bit more tricky. Does anyone know the value in Ghost that holds the software serial (e.g. for Dreamweaver, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat etc)? We need to get a list of all the volume/oem/single user licenses that are installed on each machine in order to comply for ISO.
I know that the Dataset.Property for the OS Serial number is [tt]Operating System.SerialNumber[/tt] but there isn't a property for other software serials. We have tried to use the following fields, but with no success:
[tt]Product.SKUNumber[/tt]
[tt]Product.IdentifyingNumber[/tt]
[tt]Installed Product.Version[/tt]
[tt]BIOS.SerialNumber[/tt]
surely it's possible for ghost to check the registry and list these serials out? Are there any other ideas on how else could we implement a complete software inventory?
p.s. sorry if this is in the wrong forum, again, there isn't one dedicated to Ghost...
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving isn't for you.
