Symantec Enterprise Removal

Anyone here know how to blow a copy of Enterprise off a laptop that I was given? It asks my for the Admin Code. I do not have that. The company is no longer in business - so now I have no one to go to. Sort of stuck - since it is taking up hard drive space and will not update - automatically or manually.

The laptop has Win 2000 on it. It is going to be used for my son - but I need to get a working antivirus on it.

Try the default which is symantec.

If that doesn't work then look up Symantec support, there is a util called nonav or similar on there somewhere which will get rid of all SAV versions.

Try downloading and running nonav. This is not direct from symantec but I scanned it and it appears to be ok.

You can't uninstall it unless you have the administrator's password. Your laptop was probably a property of the school.

You'll either have to have the administrator's password or reformat the your laptop.
