SYmantec 10.0.1.1000 - Manual scans

All our Symantec anti virus (SCS, AV & FW) workstations are managed.
All settings are received from the Symantec System Center(SSC). Scans are scheduled to run at various times.

Can someone please explain why Manual Scans are running on SOME pc's(not all) especially when the pcs starts up?

scans take time.. and the SSC only can show you what is reported back to the server... I would check on the machines when the local client says the last manual was ran... you can force a manual from the server... but as for scheduled ones.. you would have to look on the client to make sure its in the right group or if the settings have hit it or not.

Could also be caused by the "Missed Event" option.
