We have setup a Symantec VPN hardware solution using ADSL for going on the internet. The clients are using the software that came with the symantec to connect to our LAN over the internet. We can ping all the workstations in our LAN ( win XP ) and start a telnet on our Linux machine.
Now we tried to start remote connect software 'style PC anywhere'. It is Proxy Funk Master 4.0. This is working fine in our LAN but via the VPN no connection can be made.
What are we missing? We assumed that when the VPN is established, the remote pc would acted like a pc in our LAN.
But this is not the case.
