HI

I am not a VB scripter.. I can look through a script and make some changes but wholesale changes are not really something I have tried before.

Anyway. What I am trying to do is start to add some functionality to the SYDI-server documentation scripts, I dont know if anyone has already done this or not so any help would be appreciated.

What i want to add to it is:
Firewall configuration (list the exception, ports, scope)
Autoupdate configruation (Microsoft or WSUS, AUoptions)

So i guess for the first instance, i guess the question is.. has anyone already done this..

Thanks

Modified Sydi, yes. These specific items no.
You basically just need to know what WMI queries to perform and the copy an existing section of code and modify it to perform the needed query.

As there are thousands of lines of code in Sydi, I think it is beyond the scope of this forum. I recommend you look for a similar part of the code that does a similar action such as read a registry key or query a WMI class. Use that as your template.

I hope that helps.

Regards,

Mark
