Sybase-UDB interface

Hi All,

With my present job as Sybase DBA/Developer (Purely Sybase ), a new requirement coming-up is to interface UDB with Sybase.

Since this seems to be an Unknown-Devil to me, could anyone give hint/s to me. I have few basic queries poping up in my mind, immediate after I got the requirement.

1. Does Sybase has the driver to talk to UDB
2. Do I need to install additional tools/utilities on my Sybase Servers

Any help would be appreciated

You might take a look at this link for a commercial product that claims to link the two:

A quick search of Sybase's Technical Docs showed up these two documents (I didn't bother looking further as that had satisfied my own curiousity with regard to UDB); these links may not work for you because I was logged into Sybase at the time:

Refers to UDB being an option to use with Replication Server (which might be of some use to you or not depending upon the type of interaction you were hoping for).
