Hi. New to these boards.

Developing using Sybase / Neon HIPAA Toolkit / ECMap products. Just installed the HIPAA Toolkit 4.1.9 patch, and it looks like it simply overlays existing maps & definitions. How do folks deal with updates they've made but don't want to lose?

And are these other boards that have Sybase/Neon relevant discussions? Sybase doesn't seem to host any worth spending time on....

You're right they do overwrite the existing maps. What I do is create a new sub-directory within a master translation map directory
Translation Maps
HTK 4.1.7 (older) - contain all of the maps for this release
HTK 4.1.8 (folder) - same as above

In ECMap create a new Project called HTK 4.1.9
This takes extra time but it's well worth it.

We've found that the new version of the maps have problems & we often need to go back to using the old maps to minimize the impact on the system. Are you running these maps thru the RTP to get the additional validation done there? Are you using Sybase's HIPAA addenda maps as well?
Any changes that you make to the maps zip up a backup copy of the changes.
Good luck w/ HIPAA.
