During the past 6 months, 75% of the technical posts to the "Sybase: Adaptive (SQL) Server Forum" (Forum187) have had zero responses!!!

Since SQL Server and Sybase are chromosomally so similar, I'm hoping that there are those of you here that are susceptible to my pleadings for "Community Service" in order to rescue that "gravely ill" forum.

Let me know your thoughts here, or better yet, your positive actions by clicking on Sybase: Adaptive (SQL) Server Forum and helping out those abandoned thread posters.[2thumbsup] (I will try to do my part there, but I am so Sybasically Challenged that I don't know how much meaningful help I can be.[sadeyes])

Cheers[cheers]

Cool ! They both look like great answers (as far as this "Sybase Dimster" can tell). Please accept a couple of

s here for you willingness to help there.

Don't stop there...[2thumbsup]...Keep up the great work!

Thanks, Guys.

I believe the lack of traffic is indicative of Sybase's de facto "sunsetting" as a viable product. Nevertheless, those who still use it depend upon the "Professionals-helping-Professionals" aspect of that forum on Tek-Tips.

Thanks again for your help there, and please go help some more if your band-width permits.

Many of the unanswered questions are pretty old. Is it worth while to answer a question that is a month old. I can only assume that the OP has either found a solution or has given up. What do you guys think?

They may still be looking for an answer. If we know the answer then I see no harm in posting it (assuming that you have the time to spare).

I agree w/MrDenny. Despite the OP having perhaps found an answer, those who follow with same/similar questions can benefit from the responses.

To help us filter the questions that still need responses, I'll go out and survey the OPs to see who still need answers. (They should receive e-mails prompting them to check their original posts when I reply with the survey question.)

I've posted follow-up requests amongst the original posters.

I see that you have been contributing a plethora of replies there, Denny. Thanks, and please accept a
