Hello,

I am trying to connect to a sybase data source using crsytal 11.0. I get an error "Logon error" . The error is not too descriptive.

Am i missing a dll or sybase lib file?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
What method are you using ( ODBC,etc).

Is there a valid username/password that you are using?

Turkbear,

The report template is not using ODBC but a direct data source to the sybase server.

Also, when connection was tested through ODBC it is fine. Within the report, the window prompts for server name, username, password, database name and when all are entered, the error popsup.

I am going to try and run the same report in 9.0 to see if it works.

Thanks in advance!

You can use ODBC to Sybase in Crystal as well, however it sounds like a login error to me.

You mean it has nothing to do with missing DLLS or sybase drivers or Actrive X components missing?

It is a database login error? But the login works when trying to connect to the databse outside the report via ODBC.

Thanks

Turkbear,

The issue is happening on another machine that has crystal 11.0.

The strange thing is that when I try opening the same report on my machine which has 9.0 version, I am able to connect to any sybase server(with correct login initials). Could it be that the other machine is missing a driver?

Thanks
