One of my sites has an OPSMAN-managed ntwk of several SX2K machines and all is well throughout the system except for one machine.

All software levels are the same, 33.3.2.8

One machine (the same one every day) will go into alarm around the same time every morning, approx 7 AM plus or minus 10~15 minutes either way.

It's always the SAME alarm (Lines) with one port of a DNIC line card reporting a failed DNIC loopback test.
Here's a cut-n-paste of the alarm as it came in this morning:

2005-DEC-12 07:12:47 MAINTENANCE A/Active -Info- Main #0054
MC330AB Superset 4150 at location 09 2 10 12 01 FAILED Test.
Test(s) Failed : DNIC Loopback

Before you tell me there's something wrong with this card I want you to know that it's never the same card 2 days in a row and never the same port.
There are also no associated Software alarms.

This problem is moving all around the switch, tho it is consistently occurring every morning and approx the same time every morning.

None of the other SX2K machines are doing this, altho this one is the largest/busiest of them all.
The problem has been occurring for months.
If I ignore the alarm it will eventually clear on its own but it's really starting to bug me.
Any ideas? (turning off back stats is not an acceptable option)

I have tried:
1) reseating the MCIII cards
2) reseating the CSMII cards
3) reseating the Perif Sw Controllers in each master periph cabinet (Note: Expanded Pers)
4) rescheduling the nightly act xfr to an earlier time

What I plan to try today is pushing up the DBMS CHECK time back to an hour earlier; not trying to eliminate the problem, rather just poking around trying to see what (if anything) affects it.

Other's ideas welcome - thanks
