New to the 200 icp, just finished the certification class two weeks ago. I am going to a hotel for the following:
“Your dedicated number (8xx) 244-xxxx has been tested and we have been ready to take your reservation calls. Please program the dedicated number into your phones so you can transfer to HRCC when a guest needs to make, modify or cancel a reservation.”

I am kind of nervous as this is my first service call and of course it’s three hours away.
Is this just putting a speed dial button on the phones at the front desk? My boss mentioned something about assigning a hot key?

Thanks in advance

should be simple, you can program a speed dial key to the phones needing access or program an abbreviated dial entry and program a key on each phone to access it.

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

I would program a phantom extension that was forwarded to that number via speed dial bin, will make any AA requirement easier in the future if needed

I would definitely try to determine how this number is to be used.

Manual Transfers from Front Desk Y/N
Automated Transfers from an Auto-Att Y/N (Most likely)
Guest Room Access - Y/N (Very unlikely)

With Auto-Attendant you will need to know a digit that can be dialed from the Auto-Att and possibly if there is a mailbox license available to configure the digit.
