Hi Folks, Hope for some help here!

I did take the ibutton out, while powered off, (training exercise) and the reinstalled and did a downgrade via flash card in front.
Unit powers up but can't read ibutton. Form 4 shows zero'd out system id.
I have taken it out, put it back again. No change.

Any ideas?

I'm fairly sure there is no iButton on a 200 controller. There is a sysid module that is about an inch square and plugs on to the main board. Make sure that it is seated correctly.

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

Hi NY - Sorry, it is a CXI, not an MX. The MX has the sys id module, but the CXi does indeed have an ibutton. If you take it out and read the bottom, it jas the sysid number on it - look like a battery.

Are you seeing a MOSS error? Could be your password and options don't match.

No, it is not a password conflict. There is actually no system / hardware id showing in form 4. It is all zeros, as it can't read the sys id / ibutton. It gives an error on bootup, something to the effect that can't read sys id.
