HI

I HAVE A SC1000 WHERE THE RING TONE APPEARS TO HAVE CHANGED?
IS THERE ANY WAY THIS IS POSSIBLE? HOW DO I CHANGE IT BACK TO DEFAULT?

THANKS

Static electricity is the usual culprit.

Resetting the console will sometimes correct.

Resetting the system will correct.

The loud ‘new call tone’ :-
SC1000 consoles with this problem can be switched back to U-law mode by holding down FUNCTION and HOLD 1 keys while reconnecting the DNIC line cord. Once the console boot display appears, release the keys and the console will go back into operation (in U-law mode).
The console can also be switched to A-law using the same method, except by holding down FUNCTION and HOLD 2.

Only new type SC1000's (those with a power connection as well) can switch between u and A law. Just a FYI.
