A little picture of our setup:
PSTN --> PRI --> SX2000 --> PRI --> Asterisk
There are handsets/extensions on both PBXs.
With the help of the users of this forum, we have caller ID "flowing" between our SX2000 & Asterisk server.
If I dial from an extension on the Mitel to an extension on Asterisk, the Mitel passes the number as well as the name over the PRI from the Mitel's Directory. (I did have to set the PRI card to DMS100 as opposed to NI2/Bellcore to get the name passed for whatever reason...)
If an outside call comes into the Mitel that is destined for an extension on the Mitel, the number & name both display for the called user.
My problem is that if the call is destined for an extension on the Asterisk server, only the number is passed through the PRI to Asterisk.
MY QUESTION(S): Can the SX2000 pass the CNAM through when the call is rerouted? If so what could potentially prevent it? Should I try another protocol like 4ESS, 5ESS, etc?
Thanks for your time-
