SX2000 - Call out to one number only. 1

User wants a modem to be restricted to dialing only a single outside number. What is the easiest way to restrict that extension so it can only dial the target number?

SX2000 LW34.

Step one -
Assign the modem extension to an unused Class of Restriction (lets say 11).
Put 11 into the Class of Restriction GROUPS that the existing ARS Routes are using.

Now the modem extension is restricted from making all outbound calls.

Step two-
Build a system speed call in the SYSTEM SPEED CALL ASSIGNMENT form. This speed call will be the one number you want to allow. When building the speed call, remember to say YES to OVERRIDES TOLL CONTROL.

Now when the modem dials the speed call index number, it will be able to call out.

Or, restrict it completely and the have it dial a speedcall number that overrides Toll Restriction

Sorry paterson. My bad, I did not completely read your post. I thought you were leading up to designing ARS for a specific COR to allow only 1 number.

So,

Or, you could Design ARS with a Route and COR that only allows 1 number to be dialed.
