I recently replaced a 5340e sub attd with a new one. In form 9, I replaced the old MAC address of the 5340e sub attendant with the new 5340e's MAC address. You get dial tone on the phone and can place calls but all of the labels on the display are not appearing. Messaging appears at the top of the screen.

I deleted and then re added the new phone in programming but that made no difference. I'd like to ask for suggestions.

Thanks

Are you sure the old phone was an "e" type?

Is your sw 5.0.2.12 or 5.0.2.14 because it needs to be.

Yes, it was an e type.

The current SW is 5.0.2.12

The symptom is like it does not have access to the TFTP load

Most likely, the 5340e was connected to a 3300 at some point and as such has a more current version and will not downgrade to the SX200 level.

When the phone is booting do you see "Main Incompatible" or some such?

If so, you may need tech support to resolve.

I was remotely troubleshooting this issue. My client had enough and demanded a brand new phone. I complied and sent him a new one. I'll test the old one after I received it in the mail.

Thanks
