All,

I'm building a new system for a hotel. All parts are brand new out of the box. The problem is that the controller card will not power up in the AX chassis I ordered with the system. The 24 port ONS and 4x12 combo cards are powering up just fine. I powercycled the chassis several times with no change. I plugged into the maint port on the controller card and powerd up the system but there is no activity in the putty window. It's completely dead.

I pulled the controller card out of my labs AX chassis and plugged it into the new AX chassis and powered it up. The controller card powered up normally and I was able to reach the CDE menu via the maint port. I plugged the new controller card into my labs AX chassis and powered it up. Now, the controller card powered up just fine. I am also able to reach the CDE menu via the maint port. I plugged the new controller card back into the new AX chassis and powered it up and the controller card is still not getting power.

I'd appreciate your help on this one.

At this point I'd be calling Mitel Support. However, you might try swapping power supply units before you do.

I resolved this issue a week ago and wanted to update my thread.

I swapped out the chassis, controller card and CF card.

Placed the old CF card in the new controller card and chassis. It powered up fine but it kept rebooting. Connected to the maintenance port. The boot parameter was set to ata=0,0 (I think... or ata=auto...it's the one that it should not have been). I tried changing it to the correct boot parameter but it would not allow me.

Installed the new CF card and have had no problems since.
