Hello,
Working on an sx200 AX ICP rel 5.0.2.12. Is there any way to program buttons on a 5540 IP console? It's not being use for call handling so I would like to program speed dials or features....seems like my choices are limited when I go into function > ATT function.

Thanks!

I don't think 5540 IP consoles support speed dial keys.

No speed dial..... so how about a feature on one of the keys?

Don't think you are able to program feature buttons on a 5540 IP console either. What features were you trying to program on the 5540?

There are macro keys - I'll have to look this up

BRB...

Whoops, forgot the Macro keys are only supported on the Superconsole 1000.

Answer is no for the 5540

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Like I said before, it's off to the side and not involved in any call handling but if someone was standing next to it and wanted to *09xxx directed call pick up...it would be nice to put it on a button.

Thank you both for checking!

Some cool things can be done with abbreviated dial, depending on setup and conflict. I usually use a single digit access code where such things like *3 can be used. It depends upon how you use the speed calls. Say you program the site such that they dial 4 digits for a speed dial and it is access code+900-999, this leaves you with access code 1-8 or perhaps 0-8. In access code 1 you could have the *09 although it would be **09 followed by *303 if memory is correct...this would then dial the pickup code followed by the next 3 digits.

This is why I make any vm related speed dials the full 3 digit values
