Can emergency (elevator, pool) or hotline(business center) phones in a hotel be programmed to ring different LDN keys on the console or sub attendant? I know it can be done in a 3300 AX. I want each one to ring the different LDN keys once the handset on the phone goes off hook. At first, I was going to set up Priority Dial 0 in the Call Rerouting Table to an LDN key and enable priority dial 0 in the COS. Then it hit me that all hotline and emergency phones would ring that one LDN key.

I'm thinking I need to set up a COS for emergency and hotline phones but I realize that I'll run into my initial problem of calls ringing the LDN key. Please advise.

Thanks

you can use manual line in the cos, option 228, and then give each extension a different tenant, in the tenant form add the LDN you want in the station dial 0 to route to

Will this require someone to dial 0 or when the phone goes off hook, it rings the LDN assigned to 0?

Nevermind pandabear1. I understand what you're saying. Thank you for the input.

Creative solution just in case for what ever reason you need the phones in the same tenant

Set the Dial zero routing for the phones via priority dial zero to be a speedcall

Set the Speedcall to something like the following:
1***8
[ul]
[li]1 = Dial the digit 1[/li]
[li]** = Dial the digit *[/li]
[li]*8 = Dial the calling extension number[/li]
[/ul]

This way each extension would dial a different dial zero route point that is it's own extension prefixed with the digits 1*

ext 111 would dial 1*111
ext 201 would dial 1*201

Each LDN could then be configured accordingly

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

The GM informed me that all phones in the building must be able to dial 911. Therefore, a hotline will not work in some cases. Normally, I would program a common area phone as I stated above: set up as a hotline to ring an LDN key. However, with the requirement that all phones must dial 911, a hotline may not work. Is there a way to set up a delayed hotline that has the ability to dial only 911? Well, you'd set it up to only dial 911 via COR. But the delay part?

Thanks

I forgot to add that a select few of the common area phones cannot dial internal room numbers as well.

you can program the 911 in form 26 nested to "emergency" and when the call goes out to 911 it can alert the console or digital/IP device(s). You can restrict all outgoing calling except 911 through ARS. there is a cos option 202 in the cos of the devices you want to receive the alarm and if a digital/IP phone program an alarm key.
console cos would have options 102 and 108
I am not sure how to setup a delayed hot line, I would have to think about that one, possibly someone else knows that one.

Got it. The delayed hotline is just an idea and not a requirement so it's not a priority. Thanks

Whoops - sorry for the post - just realized you have an SX200 AX
