Before I begin please allow me to excuse my ignorance when it comes to Mitel products, quite hoenstly up till a few days ago I did not care to know anything except how to answer and trasnfer calls.

however circumstances have changed and I need some help! PLEASE!

we have a sx-200 digital/sc-200 light pabx system, we have just had a change in management and our roll over lines had put put on temp suspension, they are now back on however we cannot get them to work propertly on this system, the main lines works great, we have two roll over lines that are not working at all.

Of course the first thing we did was call the phone company, they came and told us that the roll over lines are working fine on their side, they even went and looked at how everything was connected it is all correct, nothing has been changed.

The tech said it was something in our phone system, after a few employees and myself spoke we reliazed the last tiem changes were made to the roll over lines we had to have a techincian come otu to take two minutes to push a few buttons on the console.

So I begun my search on the net for a technical manual, (all we have on site is an attendent console guide) I have found a few pdf's but can't seems to make heads or tails of them.

Does anyone have any idea I can get teh console/system to recognize the roll over lines? I would greatly appreciate any help. I have never worked witha phone system before, but do learn quickly and if I can just find a better to understand manual I may be able to figure this out.

Thank you for any help you give! :)

You did not tell us how they are supposed to function and how they are actually functioning. You've only said they aren't funtioning correctly.

My best guess is that the lines are in a busy out state. This might happen if the lines were taken completely out of service for a time. The system has automatic diagnostics to place lines out of service if no voltage is detected.

From the console:
Press Function - Grey key on left side
This will activate the 10 Blue Keys and Display Options.
F2 - should be Att Function
F5? - Trunks
Then it will request a trunk number
Guess trunk number 2 (you might have to press an enter key)

Once the trunk is selected, the status will display top center of the screen. I expect you will see busy or busy out.

Look for a blue key labeled Busy (Or busy out). (F6?)

This key will toggle the status.

Above was written from memory and may contain several errors. Hopefully being in front of the system and seeing the display will compensate.
