Has anyone ever had a customer request to always display extension on their phone? Example: on a customer's old intertel system - your extension number was always in the top left corner. This was easy in a car dealership because they could walk to any phone and know what extension they were.

My customer wants to do the same thing with their Mitel system. They have an SX-2k light with all digital sets (4050s or 4520s cant remember which) and a 3300 with a per node again using all digital sets.

Any ideas????

Thanks

If the handsets are single line display (i.e no soft keys) then you can make them display their ext number by enabling hotdesking in thier COS. this works on IP sets such as 5212, 5215,5205,5207 not sure about the TDM as I dont often work on them.

You can't enabl a dnic device as hotdesk, so no, that won't work tilf. The label maker is your only answer. It will not permanently display the DN on the lcd display.

Hi
On 3300 you just have to press the superkey and 1st line (bottom left for 5212, right for 5224)...easy

French do it too !!
