We currently have successfully set-up incoming faxes to our Faxserver but are having trouble setting up outboung faxes. We are using a Brooktrout TR1034+P16H-T1 connected via a STP cable to the SX200. The PBX tech we had here couldn't figure it out and said he wasn't getting anything from the T1. Brooktrout says it's something about line current. I've pasted the Brooktrout debug and his comments below. Can anybody point us into the right direction??

(03) CALLED_PARTY [10: Fix Uns Byte Char] "w9,17814339288"
.....
07/29 11:16:30.81 [2,2] < (04) CALL_CTRL (08) EVENT (09) LOOP_CUR_LOST ...
07/29 11:15:50.79 [2,2] call progress: RMTOFFHK (Remote off-hook) ...
07/29 11:15:50.86 [2,2] call progress: CED (Answer tone) ..
07/29 11:16:30.81 [2,2] < (04) CALL_CTRL (08) EVENT (09) LOOP_CUR_LOST ...
07/29 11:16:30.81 [2,2] ECC Leaving MillLineTerminateCallISDN (res.status:0, res.line_status:0, cause_code:16)
07/29 11:16:31.81 [2,2] Reset channel

I see loop current lost when dialing to 781 433 9288. Dialed to that number, went off hook, but by some means at the loop is disconnected and the call dropped.

Please check the PBX or the phone line.

I haven't got the slightest clue, but it looks like the reason it was disconnected, was due to "cause_code:16" In Brooktrout language, what does that mean? You should ask them.

They're saying it's the "loop current lost"... See his comment. I have no idea what that means.

I would check to make sure that the wink setting for the T1 are correct. Ground Start, Loop Start, or E&M... Sounds like the carrier is expecting loop and the switch is set for ground start.

Solved:

I got a different tech out here and he was able to figure out: the previous tech had an option that blocked the digits coming from the fax card (I think it was option 801 int the COS screen). Once this was done, the faxes were able to go out. Thanks everyone.
