System SX-200 analog with Dean Software

Toll control has been working but quit.

First we initialized toll control ram

Checked and System option 292 was enabled

Set up Control plan one, all basic conditions delete (deny)

Referenced exception tables for allowed

Assigned control plan 1 to trunk group one COR 1,

Assigned extension COR 1

No restriction is being applied

So I set up a second control plan with no execption table assigned it to trunk group one COR 1

Still no restriction, could dial anything
(seems like I shouldnt have been able to dial anything with all basic conditions deny and no exception )

what am I missing here ?

SX_200 ANALOG!!, are you kidding me? You're in for a world of hurt even if you do get it working. That system does not understand the New North American Dialing Plan implemented in the early 90's. This means it only knows N0X and N1X as area codes. All the new area codes following the new NNX plan will need to be exceptions.

I've forgotten more than I can remember on that beast so I hope someone else can help you.

Good Luck, you're gonna need it.

two COR's
1 unrestrictted , ( maybe 10 upr level managers )

second we had set up to allow local prefixs (there are 17 , 800, 866, 888, 877) everything else is placed through the operator

like I said it worked for years just quit for some reason.

customer really likes it and wants to keep it going .

That's the old Dean-modified 218 Generic I believe.

Give Dean a call, 1-800-451-2089 and ask if Rich Banduric is still working for them in Colorado. After the old 200 A was M/D, DEAN made some kind of deal w/Mitel to license the source code for that old relic and Rich Banduric wrote several updates for it. If he's still around he could probably point you in the right direction.

Not sure he's even with them anymore. That was 2 company breakups ago, going back to the days of the original "Dean Technologies". Then they became Dean Communications and most recently Dean Enterprises. Phone nbr remains unchanged tho.

I believe Banduric was with them back in the days of the old 2000 SG when he broke Mitel's proprietary format on the hard drives.

kwb you'd be suprised how may sx 100/200 still out there!
