instead of name?

Many of the calls these sets receive are showing out_of_area, Unknown etc.

The set offers the third key under the display to see the number but could the system just show the number and perhaps offer the name? (Don't really care if it shows the name or not to be honest).

LS trunks

Thanks!

Jim

If it's showing something different each time (i.e. "Out of Area" or "Unknown" this would indicate your getting CLID, however you are not able to see it because there was nothing sent down from the CO.

Are you sure you subscribe to CLID? It sounds like you have it setup properly (by what I've seen) already on the SX-200 ICP.

I believe its set up correctly. It will periodically show the callers name.

I think what is happening is i get more cel callers then land line callers.

And as mentioned if I hit 3rd key under the display I can see the callers number on the set. That is why i would prefer it to be "reversed" show number by default and that 3rd key could show the name.

Thanks!

Jim

SX-200 works like this:

1) Present Name if available
2) Present Number if available
3) If neither are available, present with "Out of Area"

If you are getting any other message (i.e. "Unknown Number") that is being presented by your CO.

Hi, ok these are the steps I use to duplicate issue:

From Rogers network iphone dial sx200

Caller ID not blocked.

5220 rings, display shows OUT_OF_AREA

Key 1 under the display shows Forward
Key 2 under the display is blank
Key 3 under the display shows Number

Hit key 3 and number is displayed.

SMDR shows incoming call with correct CID

Now if i get a call from a Shaw or Telus (located in BC), and they are not private or semi-private it will show their name and key 3 will toggle name/number.

Thanks!

Jim
