Hello,

I would like to know if I have come to the correct place to ask for advice on switching our company network of 19 PCs from Microsoft Small Business Server 4.5 to Novell SBS.

I am looking for a place where I can ask detailed questions on whether the features and facilities we use now can be "replicated" (so to speak) if we switch to Novell.

I am a moderately experienced IT Support Co-ordinator for my company.

Regards,
Julia/UK

You have already made a 2 good decisions, moving to Novell and coming here. Go for it and I'm sure we can answer most things between us all. Lee Smith

Hello,

Thank you so much for replying.

My initial question is simple - does switching from Microsoft SBS to Novell have any impact at all on the types of printers we can use in our organisation?

Our network printers, running through print servers, are as follows:
Kyocera FS-7000
Kyocera FS-1750
Kyocera FS-1800

I would like to know for the future for future purchases of inkjet/laser printers.

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind Regards,
Jay

It is always better to have network cards in the printers but apart from that your printers will be OK. It seems at the moment that HP printers are the easiest ones to setup etc for NDPS but I prefer kyocera and haven't had any issues. Lee Smith
