We currently have 3300 rel 8.0 with about 200 sets with the old Mitel Demo licensing we also have standalone Nupoint. We have to switch everything over to UCC 4 licensing and we are adding Micollab for UC as well as Nupoint. Mitel will not redo any licenses on the current demo licensed 3300 APP Record/Hardware ID other than move what we paid for to new app record/DLM . I had to create new App Record for 3300 along with a new hardware ID/iButton in order to build the DLM. My question is if have Mitel move the licenses from the old 3300 app record to the new record/iButton...Can I move the iButton over to the old 3300 and re-sync to keep my old programming? Any help greatly appreciated

backups are keyed to the SYSID so they won't restore if you change the iButton (sysid).

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

I don't think backups are keyed to any ibutton. To restore you do need to be licensed

Virtual backups contain the ARID
Physical backups via esm backup do not contain the ARID

if you are restoring an ESM backup to a new mivb with a new arid the only issue will be if the new arid has less licenses that the data in the backup
- if the backed up data has 100 Ip users and the new arid only has 50 it willc ause issues
- have seen license violation and data not restored due to insufficient licensing

be sure to check the resorte log using maintenance command TYPE *.dr.logfile_1

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
