Hi folks,
currently we're using TSM Client under Novell Netware Server in order to backup certain cluster volumes (NSS).
For each cluster volume we defined an own tsm node.
e.G.
Nodename: HBCluster01_NDPS01
Domain (Cluster Volume): NDPS01
Nodename: HBCluster01_NDPS02
Domain (Cluster Volume): NDPS02
Now we're planning to replace the Netware Server by a Linux machine (NSS on Novell Linux OES).
Question is: Is it possible to keep the old TSM nodes including the residing data (There's no change within the directory structure. We're just going to detach the SAN LUNs containing the NSS structure from the Netware server and reattach it at the Linux server) or would we have to perform a completely fresh backup from all our volumes and discard the old node data ?
Regards,
Thomas
