We have a cp-24 where we took 2 analog cards and switched them with 2 digital and changed the lens number and re-cross connected them to the right lens.In cmd 10 we just changed the extensions to go to the right lens, then we begain getting trouble tickets that the call forwarding was wrong on several if not all.Any help or explain want we did wrong, thanks as usuale.

If the station numbers were moved to new LEN's you will have this problem. Everything is associated to the LEN not the station number. If you were to change the station number on a LENs it would follow the fowarding of the original number. As a side note - when changing out numbers it is best to delete the fowarding, name display , then the station and rebuild it. Some will tell you they never have a problem but one can arise from taking shortcuts. Been there done that.

Dterms and single line stations have their forwarding and name display stored in differnet memory locations.
For a Dterm it is stored in VEN (Virtual Equipment Number) memory and for the single line station it is stored in the LEN (Line Equipment Number) memory. This memory is assigned to the station as it is created and can be viewed with CM F59. When a station is deleted the LEN or VEN memory becomes available for the next station assignment. But if you delete a single line and then create a Dterm the forwarding is not going to follow as the single line stored this in LEN memory while the Dterm stores it in VEN memory.
If you delete a single line and then immediately re-create another single line on another LEN (same or different number) all the forward/name data will follow. Same with a Dterm. If you delete a Dterm and then re-create that Dterm on another LEN all associated data will follow.
I think your problem may have come from the swaping of station types which will mix up this data but not corrupt it.
You simply have to check the settings after the assignment to make sure they are what you want.
